911 services deploy cloud solutions
25/08/2020
Brazos Valley Council of Governments - and its member jurisdiction, Washington County, Texas - have deployed Motorola Solutions’ CommandCentral 911 Smart Transcription and 911 Citizen Input cloud-based technology.

The first solution provides emergency services call-takers with real-time voice-to-text transcription prior to dispatch, while Citizen Input enables the PSAP to receive multi-media content from the caller.
Speaking of the roll-out, Brazos Valley 911 programme manager Anita Pitt said: “When a resident contacts 911 for help, the technology an operator has at their fingertips can make all the difference in a successful outcome. We are deploying CommandCentral 911 Smart Transcription and CommandCentral 911 Citizen Input because these cloud-based solutions offer our call takers critical advantages.”
Andrew Sinclair, senior vice president and general manager, software enterprise at Motorola Solutions said: “During COVID-19, we’ve seen an unprecedented demand for cloud solutions. Our command centre customers are now reaping the benefits of ‘cloud without compromise’ with secure and resilient, innovative and scalable solutions.”
Other recent cloud-based Motorola roll-outs include Manatee County in Florida, and the City if Cayce in South Carolina.
