Frequentis completes first virtual SAT with Norwegian public safety agencies

Frequentis has announced the completion of the first virtual site acceptance test, in collaboration with the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection.
According to the company, the test was completed in the week immediately prior to Easter. Acceptance of the software in question was particularly important, forming as it does the basis for the organisation's upcoming 'midlife upgrade' for all Norwegian police and health service control rooms.
The test was performed by a team situated 'virtually' in five different countries, with the test system located in Norway itself. Audio communication with Frequentis was provided via web-based platforms, technology which used across the entire testing process. A remote system expansion incorporating six VoIP operator working positions was also carried out, with the country's control rooms currently receiving three times the usual number of calls due to COVID-19.
