Zetron and DAMM announce partnership

Zetron is integrating its ACOM command and control system with DAMM’s base station technology.

According to a statement, the partnership will allow ACOM users to “seamlessly interoperate with DAMM’s TetraFlex Systems, as well as its MultiTech BS422 base station.” The latter features TETRA, DMR Tier III, TEDS and analog technologies in one “core-connected” system.
Speaking of the relationship between the companies, Ranjan Bhagat, vice president and general manager, Zetron Australasia said: “In addition to our core market similarities, Zetron and DAMM also share some important core business objectives that make the integration a logical fit.
“We have focused for decades on enabling interoperability in mission critical environments where heterogeneous technology systems and devices are the norm.”
Mark Wood, director of DAMM Australia, said: “Radio networks across Australasia are often highly complex, given the geographical, economic and technological diversity across the regions.

"Integrating our leading mission critical platforms will provide tremendous benefits to shared customers of DAMM and Zetron, in further simplifying and unifying their communications requirements.”

Zetron and DAMM both serve similar mission critical markets, including transportation, utilities, and public safety.
